Project

This project is called ENACT. The word ENACT stands for Easy-to-Understand News for Collaborative Transformation and is a European project that makes news easier to understand on the web, radio, and TV. It brings together partners from Slovenia (RTV Slovenija), Spain (CCMA, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), Italy (Uniamoci APS), Austria (ORF), and Latvia (Latvijas Radio). The team includes journalists, media experts, language specialists, technology professionals, and people who who read, watch, or listen to news.

The project has several goals.

First, it trains media workers to create easy and clear news through special training and exchange programs. It also helps professionals from different countries share ideas and work together.

Second, the project tests different ways to simplify complex news and finds the best methods with the help of the users.

Third, ENACT creates rules for making news in an easy-to-understand language and the project builds an online hub to share good examples.

Another goal is to include different people in the process, encouraging them to take part and helping them better understand the news.

Finally, the project promotes easy-to-understand news across Europe, using different languages and and strategies to reach more people.

ENACT is a project that helps create and provide easy-to-understand news for specific audiences. By working together, it can improve news for everyone in Europe.
