RTV Slovenija Hosts Exchanges in June and September

Project partners in Slovenia.

RTV Slovenija hosted two international exchanges in 2025 as part of the ENACT project, focusing on linguistics, easy-to-understand language, and accessibility in audiovisual and online media.

The first exchange, held on June 10–11, brought together partners from Austria, Italy, and Spain — ORF, 3CAT, UNIAMOCI, and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) — along with the RTV Slovenija Access Service. Mateja Vodeb and Veronika Rot presented the broadcaster’s approach to accessible content, while Maša Malovrh from Beletrina discussed web accessibility. Saša Lesjak from Zavod Risa explored the use of easy-to-understand language with test readers Nevenka and Nejc. Andrej Tomažin and Albert Gyurica presented examples of simplified subtitles, and Dr. Boris Kern examined linguistic differences between standard and easy language.

The second exchange, on September 17–18, welcomed representatives from Latvian public television. Mateja Vodeb and Veronika Rot opened the event, followed by a presentation from Andrej Tomažin on best practices in easy-to-understand news. The RTV team showcased the Enostavno portal and its editorial workflow, while Zavod Risa’s Nejko Perko, Nevenka Kos, and Saša Lesjak demonstrated methods of user collaboration, testing, and continuous feedback.

Both exchanges emphasized cooperation among media professionals, linguists, and users to enhance clarity, accessibility, and inclusion in European media.
